Members' Code of Conduct
All County Councillors, Town and Community Councillors and Co-opted members are required to abide by the Code of Conduct for Councillors adopted by their respective Councils, which conforms to the mandatory requirements of the Model Code of Conduct issued by the National Assembly for Wales.
It is the personal responsibility of each Member to ensure that they understand their obligations under the Code and act in a way which shows that they are committed to meeting and maintaining the high standards of conduct that are expected of them as a Member.
Concerns about a Councillor’s behaviour may be raised with the Monitoring Officer in the first instance.
