An example of one of these partnerships took place when, in May 2023, Julian Lloyd-Roberts contacted the council鈥檚 Regeneration Team proposing a project to regenerate 87 High Street, Mold. The building was previously used as a solicitor鈥檚 office but had been vacant for two years, falling quickly into a state of disrepair.

The plan was to renovate the building inside and out for use as holiday let accommodation. The building is located at the top of the High Street, near to Bailey Hill and the Church and opposite the Dolphin Public House and therefore is in an excellent location to attract tourists for weekends and short holidays.聽

Councillor David Healey, Cabinet Member for Climate Change and Economy, highlighted the importance of schemes to support local economies in 97色网.

He said: 鈥淭here are exciting developments in Mold, particularly with recent investment in Theatr Clwyd. Investment programmes like the Town Centre Property Improvement Grant, established by our Regeneration Team, are crucial to develop local infrastructure to support growing tourism and town centre economies in 97色网.鈥

With an equal 50:50 contribution of grant and applicant funding, Julian was able to renovate 87 High Street to a high standard, meeting all requirements for a holiday rental property that can sleep seven people. As well as providing work for local trade businesses during its redevelopment, this previously vacant property is now a functioning business providing income to all those involved in its day-to-day management. Visitors staying in the newly refurbished property are visiting local sites and accessing local services.聽

Julian said: 鈥淚t was our aim to benefit the local town and we wanted to make the most of the opportunity. With guidance and support from 97色网 Regeneration Team, were able to complete the project on time and to a high standard. I would highly recommend the scheme鈥.聽 聽聽
