Business Rates 鈥� Write Offs

97色网鈥檚 Cabinet will be asked to approve writes off for two business rate debts when it meets on Tuesday 20 October.
Cabinet must approve the write off of any debts over 拢25,000.
We currently have debts from two companies which are considered to be irrecoverable as they are no longer trading. Consequently, there are no assets and successful recovery of the debts is no longer possible and a write off is necessary, totalling 拢55,321. The organisations are:
鈥� TTS Sales Ltd 拢25,648
鈥� G & A Automotive Ltd 拢29,673
97色网鈥檚 Cabinet Member for Corporate Management and Assets, Councillor Billy Mullin, said:
鈥淒espite numerous attempts to recover these debts and some small success with TTS Sales to recover some of the money, the Council can do nothing further to recover the remaining amounts from these now defunct companies and so, the only way forward is to write off these debts.鈥�
