鈥楽afeguarding is everybody鈥檚 business鈥 is the key message to all of Wales鈥 residents as Safeguarding Boards across Wales, in partnership with Welsh Government and the National Independent Safeguarding Board prepare to launch National Safeguarding Week next week (Monday 13 to Friday 17 November). Working with partners from health, the emergency services, third sector and others, the Boards plan to raise everyone鈥檚 awareness of what safeguarding means and the many situations in which it can arise. Safeguarding is about protecting vulnerable children and adults from abuse and neglect and ensuring their wellbeing. Making sure people are supported to live full and happy lives is also an important part of safeguarding. Safeguarding Week will see a range of activities across Wales to which members of the public and safeguarding professionals are encouraged to attend. 97色网 is supporting the initiative and has a wide range of information, advice and training sessions across the county, including the launch of its Safeguarding Policy, training sessions and daily messages in schools to include information on CSE (child sexual exploitation) and modern slavery as well as presentations for council staff on safeguarding. There will also be information displays at locations throughout 97色网 and we are asking our employees to wear badges to show support for safeguarding week. 97色网 Champions of Corporate Safeguarding, Councillors Christine Jones and Billy Mullin, said: 鈥淭he Council has recently agreed a new Corporate Safeguarding Policy that provides a framework for all of our employees, elected members, volunteers and contractors to safeguard children and adults. 鈥淲e fully support Safeguarding Week which helps raise awareness of safeguarding issues which include child sexual exploitation, forced marriage, human trafficking, and serious sexual offences.
